Launching a Web Design Business: A Student’s Journey.
As a college business student, I decided to start a web design business to gain hands-on experience in running a company, rather than just learning from textbooks. This venture allows me to apply the theories and concepts I've studied in class to real-life situations, helping me understand the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship. By working directly with clients, I not only enhance my technical skills but also develop essential business acumen—like communication, marketing, and financial management. This practical experience is invaluable, preparing me for a successful career in the business world beyond the classroom.
My High School Graduation Journey
Graduating high school was a significant milestone for me, marking the end of four incredible years during which I focused on marketing. I earned a four-year marketing certificate, which provided me with essential skills and knowledge in the field. One of the most memorable experiences was a class assignment where my team and I created a clothing brand. This project was not only a creative outlet but also an invaluable opportunity to apply what we had learned in a real-world context. This experience solidified my passion for marketing and set the foundation for my future endeavors. We also won the JA Pitch Competition, earning our business a prestigious medal.
